Dried Weeds

Dried Weeds. David Hayes, 2015

My wife and I are owned by a 2 year old adorable Brittany Spaniel. Now this Brittany demands attention pretty much 24/7...unless she's asleep. Which fortunately is often. She also needs several long walks each day which can be both a pleasure and a pain...if you know what I mean. So when the latest Be Still_52 prompt asked us to go for a "nature walk" and forage...and then create a nature-centered vignette...I thought, "no problem" I'll just take my shears with me when I next walk the dog. Yeah right. I spent more time keeping her out of the weeds then foraging!

The long and short of it all is that I took my foraging walk...alone...and managed to come up with a nice selection of dried weeds from along the river bank. All of which went into my composition, Dried Weeds. Shot with my Nikon D90, processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
