Sunday Supplement - 40 Shades...

Source Image. Seth Apter, 2013.
Sometimes I get myself into trouble. It all started over a comment I made on Seth Apter's FB page, The Altered Page, about an image he posted. It was of a rusted out park bench. One thing led to another...before I knew it I had myself involved in another "challenge": if Seth provided a source image of a NYC park bench...I would come up with 40 different versions. "40 Shades of A Park Bench" if you would. Not 40 different apps...but 40 different versions.

Now...take a look at this source image. Tell me...did he provide me with much to work with...or what? In any case, I do like a good challenge. I've come up with 5 versions so far and over time will create a total of 40! I'll be posting these from now on my FB page, Clearer Reflections so if you're interested in what I come up with...do visit!

Here's "Shade 1". I used PS Express, Perfect B&W (Machine), and Laminar Pro (Old Book 1, Halftone):

Given the so-so quality of the original image (I can say that cause I took the photo), your new pic is mighty impressive.

I used to challenge myself like this a lot a long time ago. I must do so again.

I really like your first image (and I now know I have too many photo/editing/art apps (never!) because I recognised the ones you used before you even mentioned them, hee hee)

I look forward to seeing the rest of the images.
