Waves. David Hayes, 2013

Branching out a bit with my imagery. Trying different things. Liking what I'm seeing. Creating lots and lots of different...differences. I can't seem to settle into one style like many of the artists/photographers I follow have done. Maybe that's my style....different...differences....

Recipe for "Waves"...somewhat convoluted...

1.) I used LomoScanner to bring the nude into my camera roll...then I used PS Touch to invert and extract figure from its background.
2.) MPro: captured the leaf imagery in the foreground and opened this in iColorama
3.) iColorama: Waves 4/4; Blend @ Difference...leaves with nude; Crop; Brush - explode 3/7; Sepia 12/18 @ Overlay
4.) Snapseed: B&W - Dark; Drama 2

Sep 73. David Hayes, 2013

Hmmm. No words of wisdom this afternoon. The air outside is charged with heat, humidity and approaching thunderstorms. I'm not a heat and humidity lover...even still a day like this is welcomed after all the cold, dreary days we've had this spring. Looking forward to the thunderstorms...maybe even sleeping in a bit tomorrow morning listening to the rain...

Recipe of the day:
1.) LomoScanner using Paper Camera as the camera app
2.) PS Touch
3.) Image Blender: I used a "stock image" I have of the slide frame plus the Paper Camera image @ normal.

Growing weary?

Perspective. David Hayes, 2013

Do you think it's possible that I'm growing weary of iphoneography? I've not felt like picking up my iPhone "camera" for sometime now...and while I have a plentitude of raw images in my Camera Rolls on my iPhone and iPad, I've not been in the mood to do any edits. Perhaps it's time to do something else for a going back to my painting? I do have watercolor abstract that I just started. And my "traditional" darkroom has been whimpering every time I walk past. Ah...the smell of fixer in the night time!!!

In any case, here's the recipe for "Perspective":

1.) LomoScanner - none.
2.) PS Express - straighten, crop
3.) Snapseed - Black & White: Darken
4.) Pixlromatic - crop square, Hagrid
5.) Diptic.

Machine. David Hayes, 2013.

The rains that set in over the week-end are clearing away. Looks like a good day ahead...

Found water in the back-end of my car....I'm assuming one of the seals along the tailgate has developed a leak. Now to find it. Hopefully I can fix it...otherwise an expensive trip to the dealership is in my future. Nuts!!

Thought I'd post something "steampunk" this morning. I used a fun app for this one...check out the recipe!!

Interesting day this Friday. Woke up feeling fantastic. This hasn't happened in a while. And the day went that way...despite finding out that my insurance company raised the premium on my motorcycle insurance. Because they can...

Discovered that the young woman who runs the yoga studio I'm going to now really is a former student of mine. Always fun to see how my fifth/sixth graders turn out. Most of the time...

Here's the recipe for "Once":

Columns. David Hayes, 2013

It's a beautiful spring day....spent the morning staining/sealing my deck. One of those "have-to-do-jobs" that are best done on days like this. Even I would have preferred to be doing something else. That's life, isn't it. But I've been there before....

"Columns" is the result of using my Lomography Smartphone Film Scanner attachment on my iphone5...and Hipstamatic: Salvador 84/Float. With a bit of help of PS Touch to make it presentable...
