Buried Treasures - A Call For Collaborative Participants

Today, Seth Apter is hosting one of his wonderful collaborative projects on his blog, The Altered Page. This time, those who are participating are asked to re-post a favorite post from the past. Seth has listed all the links to these re-postings on The Altered Page giving his readers a chance to enjoy these flash-to-the-pasts. I invited you to visit this Buried Treasure 2012 project and take in some wonderful things!

Rather than repost one of my favorite posts, I decided just to give you the link to this: Christmas Visitors. I wrote this on Christmas Eve, 2010....and I still think it's one of my favorites...it was the first post that I thought of when I saw Seth's invitation. I hope you enjoy it.

Wow. We see deer and other creatures run across the road, but not in our backyard. Actually, most of the critters we see are lying dead on the road. Oh well. Our neighborhood actually borders farmland on the north side. Parts of it are being sold off for housing development, but the downturn in the economy has slowed the building down. Last week we saw a coyote running in one of the fields. That was a shock! We've never seen any coyotes around here before.
