Something Lost

Something Lost. David Hayes, 2012.
i365 project, 121/365. (Iris, FX Photo Studio, Scratchcam)

Recipe:

Okay....this one is kind-of complicated to explain....

Step 1:
I created the image that I posted yesterday, "Clematis" using Iris:
1. Crop
 2. Sharpen
3. Auto adjust: Tungsten
4. Grunge + Grunge.

I saved this... and went to work on my next layer....

Step 2:
I suppose I could call this one "Frame" 'cause that's what it is! I started with a snap of an old dictionary page....
Opened this up in FX Photo Studio:
1. Radial Blur
2. Art Frame 5
3. Blue Lense with a mask.
Saved....

Reopened this in Iris:
1. Grunge: Cracks
2. Vintage: Old Books with a mask.
3. Auto Adjust: Artifical Flash.
Saved....

Reopened this in Scratchcam:
1. Textures & Border layers: Off
2. Colours & Scratches layers: On
Saved....

Step 3:
Now for the fun part! I reopened Iris and set up Layer 1 (Step 1) to be blended with Layer 2 (Step 2). After a little trial and error, I settled on Overlay @100% and drew in a mask to allow parts of the Layer 2 to show through...and so forth.
I then used Auto Adjust to tweak the WB.
Then...FX Filter: Vintage....
Then....FX Filter: Vignette to finish it off!

So what do you think of this recipe!!

This is AWESOME, Dave! Each one stands on its own and together they are dynamite!

Fabulous, Dave! Very complex, beautifully explained, as usual.
