Holy Dali!

Holy Dali! David Hayes, 2012
i365 project, 151/365. (Fish Eye Lens, Iris, WaterMyPhoto, TouchReTouch)

Now then....this was a lot of fun to create...but it's definitely a two glass of wine go pour yourself a glass of your favorite beverage and settle in....

I started with taking a snap of a small mantle clock using Fish Eye Lens...selecting the "Stretch Up" filter.

The next steps all happen in Iris:
1.) Open the clock image and set as base.
2. I opened a stucco wall background image I had in my "stock images"...cropped this at a 16:9 ratio...and set this to blend with base.
3. Blended the clock image with the background image using Overlay @100% with a mask that I used to paint out left-over clock background.
4.) Moving to the FX Effects, I first used "Dust & Scratches: Classic Grunge @ 100%
5.) I followed this with "Surface: Clouds @100 and used a mask to uncover the clock face.

Opened this image in WaterMyPhoto...did a little cropping inside the app as well as used the "rain" filter.

It was at this point that I decided I wanted to remove the clock fob and a bit of the bottom reflection so I opened the image in TouchReTouch....and did so!

Hmmm....perhaps this won't take two glasses of wine to do...but you didn't have to figure it all out since you have the recipe...on the other wouldn't hurt....

Dali is exactly who I thought of when I saw this piece. It's so great!
