Greetings from Ireland!!

No...I'm not in Ireland...although I wouldn't mind if I was! Actually it's my youngest daughter, Melissa, who is there with her Ohio University group taking a film writing course. She's there for a least three more weeks...having left the end of June.

When she asked me what I wanted her to bring back from Ireland, I told her all I wanted was a picture of her having a pint of Guinness at a "real" Irish pub. Now...you have to understand that Melissa, who is of legal drinking age, doesn't...drink...anything alcoholic...much less beer! But...one doesn't go to Ireland and NOT have a pint of Guinness....just wouldn't be right! So...I told her she had to go to a pub, with her friends, and at least have one ladies pint...and send me a picture...

This post card arrived a couple of days ago...and she has posted a picture on her FB page that appears to show her drinking from a pint....but we all know how to use Photoshop...so I'm still a tad bit suspicious!!
In any case, she is having the time of her life...and will come back with some great memories!!!

Wouldn't that be a treat to drink a Guinness in Ireland. Wow! I hope she appreciates how fortunate she is.

Maybe you will never know if she did or didn't. But the postcard is a pretty cool souvenir.

@ Bill ~ ah..but wisdom is lost on the youth! I guess I'll have to go over there and do it myself!

@Seth ~ I'll find out when she gets home...but it is a great postcard!!

What a great opportunity for Melissa (the trip to Ireland, not drinking a pint!). So happy she is getting to begin exploring the world as a young woman.

@ Dayna ~ I agree! We encouraged her to do this trip from the get-go. But one doesn't go to Ireland and not have a pint of Guinness!!

@ Savannah ~ Yeah...that's what Melissa said too! But she's a good sport and said she'd have one for me! I mean...she is in Ireland!!

Before it's too late, tell her to find an OLD Pub sign - they're even better! I'm here via Seth - and I'm trying to visit everyone featured, since we've been on the road (not Ireland, Northern Montana) for the past two weeks, and in the Outback, connecting is hit or miss. So we're back and I'm hitting! I like your work that incorporates words, be they printed or written.
